I have more than twenty two years of experience in child, youth, family and relationship counselling. I‘ve worked in private practice, at mental health agencies, and in school settings. During my career, I’ve led therapy and educational groups for young children, teens, and adults. I’ve also worked many years as a clinical supervisor and manager in mental health agencies. As a mental health practitioner in the United States, I provided crisis intervention on phone help lines, in emergency rooms, and in prison settings. I also provided counselling and long-term care planning through Home and Community Care.

I live, work, and play in Victoria, BC. I’ve also had the privilege of living in the U.S., the U.K. and Sweden, and learning from people of many different backgrounds.
Skiing, hiking, biking, and painting are all passions outside of my work. Teaching skiing as a young adult was the first time that I discovered the joy of helping people achieve their goals – and experience the exuberance of life more fully.
My partner and I have been together for over thirty years. We’ve skied the backcountry and mountain biked together, enjoying our shared passions for the outdoors.
Since moving to Victoria, I have had the privilege of working with the teams at both Cascadia Counselling Clinic and Morneau Shepell EAP services. In these positions, I provide a number of types of counselling services that fit my passion for helping people and that allows for a wide variety of experiences which keeps things fresh and interesting.
